Accessibility
Accessibility statement
We want Kontoo to be usable by as many people as possible – regardless of ability or assistive technology.
Status of this statement: June 2026 · based on a self-assessment.
Our goal
Kontoo aims to meet the success criteria of WCAG 2.1 at level AA. Accessibility is a fixed part of our development: every change is reviewed with it in mind.
Conformance status
By our own assessment, Kontoo is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. „Partially conformant“ means that some content may not yet fully meet the requirements.
What we do for accessibility
- Keyboard operation: All interactive elements are reachable with the keyboard; the keyboard focus is visible.
- Screen readers: Meaningful labels, ARIA roles and live regions for updated values (e.g. balances).
- Contrast & type: We take care to provide sufficient colour contrast and legible, scalable type; a dark theme is supported automatically.
- Motion: Animations are reduced as soon as the system signals „reduced motion“
(
prefers-reduced-motion). - Responsive: The interface works from large screens down to phones and at increased zoom.
- Language: Content is available in German, English and Spanish and correctly marked up.
- Privacy by design: Because Kontoo runs without an account and without external scripts, there is no third-party content that could impair accessibility.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some areas may still contain barriers – for example complex charts that are not yet fully provided as a text alternative in every part. We are working to address such points.
