Does the app cost anything?
No – you can use it for free, with no account and no subscription. And it is completely ad-free.
Where is my data stored?
Only locally in your browser. By default your household data never leaves your device. Optionally you can enable an end-to-end encrypted sync – the server never sees your plaintext data. With “Export” you can additionally save your household as a file.
Do I need an account?
No. Just open it and start.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After the first load the app works offline and can be installed as an app.
How do I switch devices?
Via file export/import – or enable the optional encrypted sync and enter the same passphrase on both devices.
Is there a native app too?
The website installs directly as an app (PWA). Native apps for iOS and Android are in preparation.
